Habits die hard.

Terribly sorry for the lack of updates. I've been pretty caught up with life recently. Met new people, watched two great films, tried new games and experienced different things. So I'm going to do a pretty quick summary of everything in this update.

When I say habits die hard, I mean giving up. I've learnt to try hard and push on, on physical terms. I don't give up easily when I go to the gym and work out. But there are other aspects in life that giving up is part and parcel of. I'm not one whom is fond of failure. To not experience failure, I've given up so many times I seem to have forgotten that giving up is actually considered failing. In my own little world, failure means getting hurt. No one likes getting hurt, so we build walls around us to prevent that.
My wall? Not reaching the point where I know I will get hurt. It's a little tough to understand this, but I don't expect any of you to understand any of this.

Firstly, new friendships were forged, but one particular one stood out from the rest. I shall not go into details, but I will leave you with the knowledge that this friendship is one I cherish a lot and hope that it will go the distance.

Secondly, Battleships and Avengers were awesome films.
Let me do a little review.

Battleship: IMDb rating (6.4/10), Mine (7/10)
Before the movie, my friends who've watched it told me to look out for the chick.
Her name's Brooklyn Decker. She's pretty smokin' hot, but I really couldn't care less.
Yeah, she's got a great figure, but from her pictures, I think her face's covered with layers and layers of make up. She looks a little different from the second and the last picture, no?
Okay back to the movie. It's alright I guess. To me, the exciting part comes only when the end is nearing. The robots/aliens were pretty cool. Huge ass ships battling out with aliens on the infinite sea. In my opinion, not enough action. But the company I got was great though, so I can't really complain about the movie :)

Avengers: IMDb (8.8/10), Mine (8/10).

My reason for giving it a lower rating than IMDb's users is because it was too highly spoken of. I have so many people telling me how awesome and jaw dropping it was, and how it was worth a re-watch. Just the views on the trailer alone reached 27 million hits. I more "BOOM, POW, BANG" than it actually offered.
My favorite 'superhero' going into the movie was THOR.
I mean, what's not to like about him? Demi-god, indestructible hammer and he speaks a little like Shakespeare.

But I came out liking Hulk more. Huge, green monster with god like strength. Impenetrable skin with the attitude that no one can stand yet can do nothing about. How awesome is that?

Thirdly, played Left 4 Dead 2 with 4 of my friends at a LAN shop for the first time. We shouted like mad, experiencing the excitement other gamers go through when playing that game. Thus making us unqualified of complaining about loud gamers in the LAN shop in the future.
Pardon my shamelessness.
Lastly, I was initially unsure of putting this up here but I'll do it anyways, the new experience was actually going out with a girl. I was really afraid at first, my heart was racing and my hands were trembling. But when we finally met, all the fears went away and I felt more at ease. I really enjoyed her company, and I actually noticed little details. Her eyes are brown, and she has double eye lids. She's really nice and sweet, and her smile's great too. Could never ask for more for that experience. You know you enjoyed something when you smile to yourself while walking home.

That is all for this update. I will try to update more often, I promise!
Here's a photo of my dog basking in the sunlight.
Take care, and stay safe.
Au revoir!

Wrath of the Titans; Zeus in action.

Wrath of the Titans; 7.5/10

Ratings on IMDb, 6.7/10.

Um, what should I say about this show.. It is a better show as compared to the first of this sequel- Clash of the Titans. However, it didn't match up to what I had expected. The action was great, but the story plot was, ngeh, alright. A couple of scenes brought some laughter to the audience though.

I mean, save the mushy 'I forgive you' crap for other movies. I went in expecting 99 minutes of non stop, blood oozing, heart pumping, edge of the seat, type of action. Not some 'Brother, let's join forces even though I don't really like you and defeat the father I had brought back to life by killing you' bullcrap.

The mythical creatures were great though. The titans, and the giants got my attention. This movie is good, but not good enough. A wooden board can not save you from the fire breath a monster breaths at you.

The thumbnail of this video is the giant I had mentioned earlier.

A review from IMDb:
Let me start this right off the bat and tell you it's better than Clash of the Titans(Even though that's not saying much)However, Wrath of the Titans supplies enough action set pieces, that you have a good enough flick that you should check out this weekend. The plot is very simple, it's set 10 years after the events of the first film where Perseus and his son fish for a living. Hades and Zeus' son Ares trick Zeus and capture him. Now, the titans are getting stronger while Zeus is getting weaker. Perseus has to go to hell to save his father. There are some pretty cool monsters in this film, like the demons Makhai and the scene with Kronos is AMAZING. If you're looking for a good time this weekend and go into this movie with an open mind. Then you will definitely have a good time watching Wrath of the Titans. 8/10    -ohemmeffgeex3 from United States

While I was walking home after the movie, Zeus was in action. Lightnings bolted across the sky, putting on a show in the clouded sky. The smell of rain scented the area, and a thunder roared in the near distance. I stepped up my pace as the appearance of a sudden bright light striking across the sky became more frequent. Under the shelter I sought for safety, I ran home thanking the high heavens, that I survived the sudden performance Zeus decided to put on for us mere mortals.

Life of the lazy muchacho

Three movies in a week, that's a personal record for me. I've caught what seem to be 'the worst movie of the year', an 'average yet acceptable' movie and a hella great movie. Let's begin with the weak one.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance; I rate it a 0.5/5

IMDb gave it a 5.1/10.
Compared to the first part of the movie, this one sucked balls.
It was stupid, too much animation and the story plot was dumb as hell. The flamethrower joke was so bad, only the kids in the theatre had a few good chuckles.  Seriously, don't waste your money watching it.

Next up..

Man on a Ledge; Mm, I think I'll give it a 7/10 ?

IMDb's rating: 6.7/10

I didn't expect too much from this movie at first, but the trailer got to me. Firstly, and I ain't going to lie about it, the girl was hot. Damn if she was any hotter, the theatre would've been on fire. Secondly, seem kinda interesting and the story line was .. okay? The action was there though, so that's a plus.

Okay I need to elaborate more on this girl. Her name is Génesis Rodríguez Pérez. She is 24 and has both Cuban and Venezuelan blood in her. So she speaks Spanish fluently. One thing you need to know about me, is that I have a deep love for Spanish chicks. Their accents are so awesome, plus most of them have colored eyes. I truthfully believe that she is better than Megan Fox. Hey, it's my opinion, so that's my problem alright. Here's a few pictures of Genesis Rodriguez.

HOT DAMN?

Okay, getting a little off topic here. The hella great movie I mentioned earlier is. .

This Means War; 5/5 for me

I don't know why IMDb gave it a 6.6/10, this movie is awesome! It was funny, full of action and drama. Two guys fighting over a girl, classic. But two CIA agents going against each other and putting their friendship and job on the line!? Genius!
I was laughing throughout the movie, and so was everyone else in the theatre. So tell me how this can be a bad movie? I left the theatre with a smile on my face, and my mouth kept uttering "best damn movie ever". Enough of the exaggeration for now. Go watch it if you haven't already.

Okay that's pretty much all I have done for the past few days. Oh and muchacho means boy in Spanish. So it's life of the lazy boy. Movies and chilling at home, superb start to the long holidays.

20 seconds of bravery

As 2011 had been a hell of a roller coaster ride. With great movies inbetween, and also really bad movies of course, I caught another hell of a movie on the last day of 2011.

We Bought A Zoo(Wiki; IMDb)
GREAT MOVIE.
You know why it's so great? Because it has got lots of animals, emotions, a little bit of a love story, pretty girls, and it has also got a freaking amazing quote (*the title of this post*)

20 seconds of bravery. Embarrassing bravery. That 20 seconds of crazy bravery can either be the greatest thing you've done, or it might be the thing you will regret in the future.

Oh and this is based on a REAL STORY. Someone actually bought a zoo! I think that's just freaking amazing.

I'm the kind of person who takes watching movie to a level that not many can understand. For example, I like to put myself in the actor/actress's shoes when I watch a movie. I can actually feel the emotions and even think of different outcomes in the movie, I'm weird like that.

One more thing about this movie. There's a scene where the son and the father had a fight, my emotions got jumbled up bad. You see, I wasn't feeling too well during the day and that was the first thing I told my mom when she got home from work with my dad. My dad overheard me saying that I had a weird pain in my abdomen/kidney area and I don't know what got into him, but he said "Ah, that means you're gonna die.". I brushed it off when he said that for the first time. But he continued telling me that my time was up and even asked me why I was still alive. He's one fucked up father/husband if you ask me.

Okay, that's about it. Not a good way to end 2011, but what the fuck. Who gives a damn to the new year. If it's true, this is the year the world ends, how is that a thing to look forward to? If given a chance, I would rather live in 2011 forever, or 2010.

M18 - Friends With Benefits

So I caught another chick fucking flick.
I think I'm in love with the idea of being in love. But the douchebag of the guys have to ruin everything for us, the innocent ones. I have a few friends, or maybe one that I know of, whom have never had a girlfriend before. We often question our friends in relationships why and what they fight over.

So this film was great. I think it deserves a 7.5/10, instead of the 6.7/10 they were given on IMDb.
But you may not like it if you're an "action-genre" person.
Yeah, that's about it.
Oh and, MILA KUNIS IS FUCKING GORGEOUS

Hopeless Romantic

Caught a movie today. I think it's a chick flick, and a comedy.

I don't know why, but I get a little emotional when I watch chick flicks.
Fuck! Does this mean I'm a chick!? Fucking hell.

Anyways, the show was pretty good.
It was about a girl who has had sex with quite a number of people. And she's determined to stop because apparently, americans treat articles found in magazines really seriously.

Hmm. Maybe being a girl's best friend is the first, and most essential step to winning her heart?

Ok about the title. I think I'm a hopeless romantic.
According to urbandictionary.com

Hopeless Romantic ;
This person is in love with love. They believe in fairy tales and love. They're not to be confused as stalkers or creepy because that's not what a hopeless romantic is. All hopeless romantics are idealists, the sentimental dreamers, the imaginative and the fanciful when you get to know them. They often live with rose colored glasses on.They make love look like an art form with all the romantic things they do for their special someone.

I'm not sure about that because I've never had a 'special someone' before.

Ok, enough about that. Real steel tomorrow. Can't wait.
